General Overview

AYMB is a registered charity organisation dedicated to introducing young people from all walks of life to the performing arts through the medium of a marching band.

Marching bands in Britain have evolved over the years into one of the most spectacular and demanding forms of live entertainment around. At AYMB we have moved away from the traditional military style of our past and embraced the show band/drum corps style which we feel is more interesting, demanding and entertaining.

We are based in the rural West Midlands in the small market town of Atherstone in North Warwickshire on the borders of Staffordshire and Leicestershire. We are an equal opportunity organisation and our staff are local volunteers and the parents of our members. Each year we produce a new show which we take into competition all over the country as well as to local events.

Our senior band is made up of members age 13 to infinity, and we have a thriving cadets unit with members aged between 7 and 13
